WHAT FORM DOES THIS MEDICINE COME IN?

It is a topical ointment that is applied over acne.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF USING ADAPALENE?

Common side effects include dry skin, erythema (skin redness), skin irritation, and a burning sensation. During the first 24weeks,
your skin may feel more sensitive or dry. Consult your doctor if you experiences tinging, burning, or significant irritation.

HOW SHOULD I APPLY ADAPALENE?
A) Apply a thin layer of Adapalene to clean, dry, and unbroken skin on acne-affected areas.

B) Avoid contact with your eyes or mouth; rinse with water if accidental contact occurs.

C) Use as directed by your doctor, and be sure to clean and dry the affected area before applying.

D) Wash your hands afterward unless treating your hands directly.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS I SHOULD TAKE WHILE USING ADAPALENE?

Yes, Adapalene increases sun sensitivity. Usesunscreen or wear protective clothing when going outdoors to avoid sunburn. During the initial weeks of treatment, you may experience purging, where underlying acne may surface, causing atemporary increase in breakouts. This is normal and usually subsides after a few weeks.

CAN I USE ADAPALENE IF I AM PREGNANTOR PLANNING A PREGNANCY?

Adapalene should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnantduring treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult your doctor.Avoidplanning a pregnancy while using Adapalene.
